To Tainan again... we went to buy "Tu chan" n eat, eat, eat...

On the railway train to Tainan, the train is similar to singapore MRT but the seats are with cushison and this is the cheapest train we took. It costs about NT$69. There are three different types of trains running for the railway with different prices, timing and traveling speed.

Half way there, I took a photo of the sunset directly infront of me. Not a good catch of the view from inside of the train. But it is really beautiful if you see it.

What's more ahead. Behind me, I saw the dark clouds. Believe rain is on the way. It has been some time I met the rain in southern part of taiwan after the cold season has arrived around late Oct (if i am not wrong). The most interesting thing is there is a rainbow accompanied with it. It is the first time I saw such a big rainbow on the sky.

Hope you can spot it, coz it is really difficult to take. N the pic is only a corner of the rainbow. Believe this is a good signal for everyone who saw it including ME and it really good to be able to see it on Christmas eve. Hope everything ahead will be smooth sailing and in three weeks time I will be back in singapore doing my final year project.

Btw, in tainan, I spent quite abit. Bought "tu chan" which costs ~NT$520. In additional, I bought a hat for NT$100. Actually, this is cheap and nice. It is something that I hope to get for quite long and glad to find it at such a good price. N bought a couple watch for my bro and his wife to be. It is also buy at a good price. So hope that they will like it.

Okay, I need to control abit, coz will be going down to taipei on 31 dec for the countdown party. Have to reserve... although I still like to buy some clothings for myself and also gifts for friends.

Thanksgiving for this special ocassion of the year... Christmas!!!

This is the most favourite day I like in the year, since young I am blessed with gifts from my family members n relatives. It is so nice to have all the love showered on me. As years go on, I have my celebrations with alot of people... my secondary school friz, my chruchmates in navigators and most importantly with my FAMILY.

This year is going to be special. I am in taiwan celebrating this Christmas without my loves ones but with some new friends, WB and TC, maybe XYZ who is coming to taiwan for his FYP. Of course, my friend, Ivy Low, who is along with me for this international exchange program. Don't know what to expect this Christmas but believe it is going to be a Christmas which will be colder than in Singapore.

I would like to give thanks to my buddy, Ash. She prepared the pictures that we took over the last year, so that I will have a chance looking at them and also remember that good times we spent together. Yiling, my beloved friend, who did a nice knitted scarf. I haven’t really used it but did bring out. Hope I will be able to use it when I go to Taipei this New Year Countdown. Think the temperature there is lower as compare to Kaohsiung.
To Xiao Ke Ai, Ru and Little Mae Mae, Ling, thanks for providing me the cash for purchasing one of the most valuable item; that is the Concise English-Chinese and Chinese-English Dictionary for this trip. It is an important item I need and used frequently. Hee hee.
In addition, my lovely sister also gave me a pair of gloves and a jacket. I bought the gloves along but not the jacket coz my luggage overweight. The gloves provided me warm during cold weather.

The most most important thing for today is the birth of Jesus. I would like this time to thank Jesus for coming to this world to give us new lives, it is not what we done but because of His love for us, You came. Hope this wonderful news of Yours will be spread on and on the everyone on this earth.

This is a pretty nice song introduced by my sister.

So wat so special about today?!?

Of course, it is my good friend, Jia's birthday.

Happy Birthday!!!
Sorry this year we can’t be celebrating your birthday and Christmas day together. But may our wishes and blessings be with you although you are oversea in Australia right now. N also will be doing webcam tonight, so hope to have a good chat with you and the rest.
I would like to that this chance to thank you for providing me with the blue pairs of gloves. It is so thoughtful of you (my most thoughtful friend, who always think of us and loyalty is the best word to describe YOU). This is the first gift that I received from the gang before I leave for tw. It came in handy when the weather here dropped too low.

My first Christmas gift... all the way from australia, from who?!?

Who else?!? Other than my Cutie Jia. Haha.

It is macadania nuts. It is abit salty at the outer but it is pretty tasty. The card is also very cute, the reindeer is talking to a group of kangeroos.

What is love?!?

I kind of like this song by Fan Fan. Do I really love him? is the emphasis of this song. But to me, I think I would like to ask myself do I know what is love? If love at first sight, true? Is what kind of attention you receive and give determine if the person love you or you love him? I don't really know how to answer. I have been in love at first sight before but do I really love him or is it temporary attraction.

Another song of Fish Leong

To introduce to all...

Dog Dog...

At the dinner place outside school. Pic not taken nicely, because this cute puppy bites on my pants when i decide to take a picture of it and this shocks me haha. This puppy was very small when i first seen it. It is like only two hands size of mine. Now it is already this big after only two or three weeks. I realised people in taiwan loves dogs alot.

A better catch of the puppy.

Another puppies pic that i took in taipei, I think it is in shilin. I wish to have one to keep. Ha ha. But not sure if i will be a good owner.

Although people in taiwan like dogs, there are still alot of stray dogs around my school campus. I can count more than 10 when i make my way down for class from my hostel. So please dont keep a pet unless you are able to commit to it and love it. Hee hee.

Missing my family and friends in singapore

As I took out the photos I bought along for this trip in taiwan, I begin to miss my family and friends in singapore. Looking at todayonline, cold storage is promoting on christmas feast food. This year I am going to miss the celebration with them. Although Christmas is still about 1 n 1/2 months away, I missed the time planning the date for the celebration, planning the food to bring or cook and most importantly is the time spend doing things together. It is really fun.

The weather in taiwan is getting more cooler. So hope it will be a cold christmas this year, which is something different from sg. :)

P.S.: I have uploaded some Jay's new album songs on my blog. Hope you all will like it. I find them pretty nice.

And we reached abit too late to go into the place to visit. So pls next time if you do visit, make it two to three hours before 6pm. Taking photos instead...

On our way back, the bus driver introduced a famous store in Heng Chun. It is known to be opened by four tw degree students. Not too sure of the story also. If you like, do check it up urself.

Another famous store that i mentioned previously in my blog that was introduced by sg program.

Kenting trip from 24 t0 26 sept

We are staying 佐秀民宿 located at 屏東縣恆春鎮. It is introduced by our friends; Peiling and Wing Yan. Thanks to them we have quite a nice trip and a good place to live in. The price is about 1500NT per night. But the price will vary depending on the season. http://uukt.idv.tw/inn/jso.htm

The first thing that attracted me is the japanese style bedroom. It is really nice to have thick beds to sleep on because i only have a thin bed to sleep on in my hostel. Haha. The place is pretty cosy for our three days stay.

Long delay for my blog...

Hi to all, sorry for the long wait. But I dont think i will update my previous two weeks things yet. Btw, I arrived in Kaohsiung on 12 sept 2007. Now, studying in NSYSU (National Sun Yat Sen University). Well, so far I have only attended 2 days of classes. I have a long weekend break due to the mooncake feast in taiwan. So we head down to Kenting by car provided by the 民宿. We paid NT300 each for the transport there. The good thing is the car provides KTV for singing. Although we didnt really used, we just listen to the songs, watch the MTV and sing along as n when we know the songs. The stay costs NT1500 per day for 4 persons room. The first two days were raining. I realised everywhere we go is raining day. We traveled around using umbrella.

Day 1 The 民宿 is pretty nice. We went for our lunch at a recommended duck store. It is quite okay but my friends find it too oily. We try to go the national museum of marine biology and aquarium but reached there too late so didnt go in. Upon returning, we walked around the area and found a place recommanded by sg local tv programme for dinner. Following that, we went to see a natural fire which is found within the park. It is so special that the fire can starts up on itself. At first we thought of having bbq that day. N the person-in-charge asked us to go there for bbq. True enough ppl do go there for bbq popcorn or sweetpotato. I will try to post up the pictures soon.

Day 2... we went for watersport. For 5 in 1, it costs NT1000. It is abit expensive but it is the first time i did watersport. We did banana boat, snorkling, dao li shu shuo, jetski... Woh, it is really an experience for me. Actually, the banana boat is unlimited ride. It was a hard fall for me that my whole body still aches abit till today. So i only went for one time while my friends went twice. Overall, it is still fun. Later part of the day, it is a long waiting time for the bus to the national museum of marine biology and aquarium. After 45min of waiting we decided to give up coz if we go there again we will be late again. So we went to take pictures around the area we stay. In the evening, we had our first bbq just outside the place we stay. Btw, ppl here loves to bbq alot. Anywhere we walked, we smell bbq food. In the night, the owner drove us to Kenting night market. After that, we went to the beach to play fireworks. It is so nice here that anyone can play fireworks. Some fireworks are so beautiful that it is like what we see in sg during national day or special event. I think jia you really wish you are here right... Beside seeing fireworks, u can setup fireworks yourselves.

Think i will stop here for today. Will update more tom. Tata.

Day 1 in Taipei.. 4 Sept 07...

hmm.. To begin with.. i should write about wat i did yesterday.. packing n packing before i left singapore. Two sad things happened; first is my alarm clock failed mine, second is my MP3 player sudden dont work after i plug out from my laptop. But no choice. Everything will still have to go on. N yes, i have to look forward to taipei.

The flight on jetstar is still okay. The good thing is that my luggage was not fine due to excess weightage. I was pretty glad. Traveling to my hostel had some problems too. First, we reached taipei railway station on the Guo Kuang travel bus, which cost about NT$125 for 45-60min. But failed to move around with our heavy luggage when we alighted; partly due to the rain n we are not sure where we are. Ha ha. Thus, we took a cab from there to the backpacker hostel, cost about NT$70 to somewhere near zhongshan station. When we found the place, the person said she had arranged us to another place which is pretty near for us to stay. It is still under taiwanmex. Traveling there wasn’t easy again. We have to carry our luggage up the stairs because we are staying at level 9 and the lift stops at level 8. Sad thing is my friend luggage was spoiled by the helpful person who tried to carry her luggage up.

After settled down at about 8pm or so, we went to the area around to eat. Guess wat!!! We eat Mac. coz cant find anything else to eat n it is raining heavily. I don’t really eat mac in sg!!! We did walk around the shopping malls near the areas. They are similar to hk or sg. They have daiso n starbucks. That’s the end of our first day in Taipei.

This is something I got for the day. My favourite keroppi. Hee hee…

Two more days...

Well, from the title, some of you will know what I am counting down to and some don't. In two days time, I will be on my way to taipei for a week of trip and then to Kaohsiung to start a new study life there for a semester. Anyway, it is under an exchange program. So hope it will be fun and a good learning experience. Many have asked me if I am excited. Hmm... all I could said there is alot of preparation. But it will be a good chance for me to live independently and grow to be more matured (not saying that I am not, just that there are still room for improvements). I believe many would be worried for me especially for my family members. Hey, I would be fine, so please be assured I will take care of myself. So for the time now, I will go back to arrange my stuffs first. Will update you more later or when I am in taiwan.

Okay, will like to take this chance to thanks all my friends who have come or arrange for the meeting with me. I had enjoyed alot of good food from your treats before I leave and even gifts. Most importantly, your company made it more fun. Alright will see you all in about 4 1/2 months later. I will try to upload the photos later so stay tuned. Tata.
